Sarah Palin and Job Interviews

First of all, let me start out by saying that this article is merely my observation and opinion, nothing more.

Some people are a great interview. They’re bright, attractive, articulate, charming and so doggone irressistable you can’t help but like them. They make a great first impression, so you hire them.

But did you hire the right person for the job?

Were they really the most qualified?

That’s the question surrounding political phenomenon and media darling, Sarah Palin. She makes a great first impression. But as charming and likeable as she is, do you honestly think she’s the most qualified person to be vice-president of the United States?

I don’t.

Just A Small Town Mayor

Let’s examine her experience and see what we come up with. She was mayor of a small town of less than 10,000 people. I personally don’t have anything against small towns. But I don’t think a small town mayor is qualified to be vice-president of the United State?

Do you think your small town mayor is qualified to be vice-president?

Moving on.

Governor of Alaska

She’s been the governor of Alaska for less than two years. Let’s put that into perpective. Alaska is a scarcely populated state of approximately 600,000 people, that has nowhere near the cultural
problems and complicated issues of much more densely populated states such as New York, California or Texas that have tens of millions of people.

On top of that, she’s currently under investigation for abuse of power, for firing public safety commissioner Walter Monegan. Monegan said that his dismissal may have been tied to his reluctance to fire Mike Wooten, an Alaska State Trooper who is also Palin’s ex-brother-in-law.

At the time Palin dismissed Monegan, Wooten was involved in a custody battle with his former wife, Molly McCann, Palin’s sister.

So she also has that ugly investigation hanging over her head. Now to be fair, those who support governor Palin, will point out she has executive experience.

Executive experience?

Give me a freakin’ break!

Anyone who runs a business has executive experience. I have executive experience too. And as egotistical and brilliant as I think I am, I know for a fact that I don’t have the experience to be vice-president of the United States. Nothing like it!

I’d venture to say most business executives would admit they also don’t have the necessary experience
to be vice-president.

By the way, did you see Palin’s interview with ABC’s Charlie Gibson?

This person wants to be vice-president of the United States, and she doesn’t even know what the “Bush Doctrine” is? But wait, it gets even better or worse, depending on your point of view. When asked about her foreigh policy experience she said, “I can see Russia from my house.”

History Of Cancer

This would be hilarious if it wasn’t so serious. People wakeup! This woman is going to be a heartbeat away from the presdidency. John McCain is 72 years old with a history of cancer. If he’s elected and
dies in office, folks, Sarah Palin is the president.

John McCain reportedly interviewed Palin one time, and hired her to be his vice-president. Can you believe that?

I’ve personally taken more time than that to hire sales people.

Help answer the question aboutSarah Palin

Sarah Palin said she would be in charge of the Senate or over the senate. How is this so?
Today Sarah Palin made a statement that as vice president she would be in charge of running the senate or over the senate. She said she could get them to get things done. I don't think she understand how the constitution is set up. I hope she don't think she can approach the senate like she did with the troopergate scandal. Please explain to me what she meant. Only people who understand the constitution need to reply. I am only asking a question.

    She KILLS things!

  8. and the upper midwest, contrary to hollywood belief, does not have an accent. i’d have to say these impersonations really hurt her and mccain. everybody dismissed her as a stupid redneck who can barely read,,,,,,but they were quite entertaining.

  9. did sarah palin really have much of an accent? i didn’t remember it really sticking out or anything.

  10. My husband, who is a republican, did. Actually the VP job is not hard, their main duty is to wait around for the president to die. They have a few other small duties like chairing the senate. No doubt these were added when they realized that the VP needed SOMETHING to do.

You do realize of course, that Obama, wouldn't even get clearance for an interview with the FBI. ***

  12. Isabella V says:

She bombed again and is continuing to embarrass herself. Hopefully she has enough sense to drop out before she has to debate Biden. If not, it will be a massacre.

    Here's a quote for you..

One well-known conservative commentator, Kathleen Parker, urged Palin on Friday to withdraw from the race in the wake of her abysmal dealings with the media. Parker suggested Palin's performance on the national stage revealed a woman who was in over her head.

  13. It would be better if She pointed out the conservative point of view.
The republican point of view is the same as democrats

  14. sorry sista says:

ALL the major media is out to undo Sarah Palin. She is everything liberals HATE. Smart, attractive, articulate, and can speak WITHOUT a teleprompter!!
I hope it backfires on the left/media, but I have found that the electorate will believe what the media tells them to in large numbers. It's easier than thinking it out, esp when the truth is so hard to find.

GO SARAH GO! I am voting for McCain because he made the right choice in choosing Palin. (THAT attitude is what really makes the left/media livid).

  15. Just me ツ says:

I agree. She was very much prepared and for the most part, knew exactly what she was talking about. She really did exceed my expectations.

I kinda thought Charlie Gibson was a jerk at times though. It's almost like he was hoping she would fail…

  16. truth hurt says:

everyday new garbage on this lady and that is why she is hiding from the American people.

  17. Steve D says:

She has always been a wacko job, That's what took down the republicans.

  18. proserpinafc says:

I don't believe the interview was hard or biased that is the excuse Repubs use. The questions Katie Couric asked were standard questions that any VP hopeful should have knowledge of and a decent answer for.

Sarah Palin is clearly uninformed, uneducated, and not qualified to be VP of the US. McCain picked her to sway women voters. She is a token. Palin has been scripted to speak about certain talking points. Anything outside of her talking points and she turns into what you saw in the Katie Couric interview.
