Grand Canyon National Park USA

You must plan a vacation to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon. It is just simply amazing and the maze of canyons, fissures, and gorges intertwine and merge to create one of the world’s most amazing natural wonders. You can actually see the different colors of the rock in the many layers that make up the canyon not to mention the way the sun reflects on them, and then the shadow, affects their color, which is awe inspiring in and of itself. The beauty of the Canyon is one thing, the size is another and it is just as amazing if not more so.

The canyon is huge and that may even be an understatement. The canyon measures between 10 and 15 miles wide and is more than 200 miles long. At some parts of the canyon it measures nearly a mile to the bottom. Can you imagine looking over the edge of the canyon and the ground being a mile below? It truly is one of the must see places in the world, let alone the United States. The Grand Canyon National Park includes the Grand Canyon and other sites and is located north of Flagstaff, Arizona, by about 75 miles. It will take about an hour and a half to get to the north rim’s visitor center from Flagstaff, or if you are in Las Vegas plan on a five hour drive. The south rim’s visitor center requires a 200 mile drive although it is only 10 miles away if you could fly your car over!

The south rim is the best place to visit if you are only visiting one of the rims. That is because the views are outstanding and it has more facilities than the north rim center. More tourists visit the south rim because the north rim is closed from October to May. If you are a backpacker or don’t like crowds then you might prefer the north rim. The Grand Canyon Village is a great place to stay when visiting because there are hotels, souvenir shops, and restaurants near the south rim.

The best thing to do when visiting the Grand Canyon is to allow yourself plenty of time. There is a lot to see and although it might look like you can do it all in one day you may not be able to and really enjoy it. So, give yourself plenty of time when you are at the Grand Canyon so you can see all the rims, head down to the basin, whitewater raft, and just enjoy this beautiful natural wonder.

    Glacier National Park in Montana.

That is the saddest thing I've heard in a long time. I genuinely fear for the future of our children. Geesh. Just when you think you've heard everything.

Spring (April, May or early June) or Fall (September, October). Summer is entirely too hot and Winter is rainy and cold.

And you're going to need a lot of time. 4-6 weeks for a thorough visit to each one.

Start driving south toward Yosemite — it is an absolute must-see. Give yourself at least a couple of days there. Pick up and head south to check out Death Valley — the roads from Yosemite to here are closed in the winter, so go summer, late Spring or early Fall. Continue for a scenic and solitary drive through Nevada to hit up Zion National Park in Southern Utah. Then head south to the Grand Canyon.

Take a different way back up — go through Vegas and drive back up the California coast to see Monterey, Big Sur, etc.

    Good luck.

I would carry them along indeed BT. It seems that our bodies get used to the conditions in our immediate environs. Strains of all living things including pollen, differ somewhat from region to region and one can be susceptible to a host of agents when one travels outside of their niche. Everytime I travel west, I catch a cold. Everytime! And, I seldom ever get a cold!

Along with antihistamines, I would bring gravol, or other such anti-emetic (if that is the term) , sleeping pills (for jet lag and anxiety) analgesics (aspirin is still the #1) and sunblocker (seeing that you are coming from the jolly old land of fog and rain) I would also bring melatonin and vitamins. Gee if there is any room left in your luggage bag, you might want to bring some tissue paper, in case you do get the sniffles!
    Best of luck pal!

You could spend your entire life in Yellowstone and only see 50% of the park.

That said… if you really want to see anything:
    1 day for Monument Valley
1 week for the Grand Canyon and Death Valley
    1 week for Yosemite
2 weeks for Yellowstone (just going here alone would be worth your entire trip… by far the best of them all)
1/2 week for Rocky Mountain Ntl Park
1 day for Mount Rushmore (you could skip this one and not really have missed anything in my opinion)

Ones that are really good that you missed:
Glacier National Park – Sweet.. about 3 days would be good
Arches National Park and Canyonlands (about 3 days here too – not too far drive time from Monument Valley)
Great Sand Dunes national monument (not too far from Rocky Mountain Ntl Park 1 day)
Zion national park… there is a reason it got that name (1 – 2 days).
Grand Teton National Park (just outside yellowstone – 1-2 days)

Drive time between all of the parks will be significant… but well worth it.

You'll be driving a lot. Badlands you can see most of the same stuff from the interstate. Custer State Park is far better than a make work project that is Mt. Rushmore. The black hills are a good area after driving across the prairies. Yellowstone come in from Cody, Wy. and leave via West Yellowstone. Take your time its large and unfolds overtime. Take a side trip to the Grand Tetons and forget Glacier, With global warming there are very few glaciers left. All of Utah is good. You may wish to see Monument Valley the back drop to most of the Westerns, TV and Movies. Yosemite be sure to see the redwoods Grand Canyon both sides and there is a lot of stuff to see around Flagstaff. Yellowstone, Zion, Yosemite and the Grand Canyon with Yellowstone with the wildlife and geo activity the main site.

I believe our Godly national heritage is what is so great about America and sets it apart. I fear though that we may be forcing the hand of God to be removed from her if things keep going in the direction they are. It's not to late though.Revival can still break out. Here's hopin'. God bless!!

Assessing the money flow is one more essential element in the company strategy format, so as to sustain a regular cash flow to meet the essential capital needs. Probability of monetary crisis and also the ways of crisis management must be pointed out within the structure. The company strategy should consist from the marketing plans and strategy leading to the expansion in the organization.
